You've just made an investment in new software. You want it to do everything that we have promised it will, and we understand that.

Can you learn the software on your own? Yes, if you are willing to give yourself or your employee uninterrupted time to go through the program and the tutorials in the manual and if you are very comfortable with computers. You can teach yourself to do basic functions fairly well, but you will miss many of the extras. Long-time users who come to a training sit, shaking their heads, saying “I didn't know it could do that!”

We strongly recommend that you take one of the training courses offered for DonorWorks.

We handle training differently from some of our competitors: all of our classes are taught by a support specialist, not a regional representative. Our classes are hands-on; you do everything the instructor does. We hold classes at a computer lab where everyone has a computer in front of them or clients brings their laptops.

Classroom training has the added benefit of interaction with other nonprofit professionals who use DonorWorks. You get the benefit of their questions and their experience as well as what we are teaching.
