This notice pertains to compatibility between Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard", due to ship Friday, October 26th, 2007, and DonorWorks v8.0.

Synopsis

The database server included with DonorWorks will now run under Leopard.

Versions of DonorWorks prior to v8.0d will crash under under Leopard. An update for this problem has been posted. DonorWorks 7 will have the same problems so we recommend updating to v8. See the details below.

Full Details

The DonorWorks development team has been testing DonorWorks under Mac OS X Leopard. There are a couple of items that look different visually under Leopard, and for the update we've changed the fonts used to be compatible with all recent versions of OS X.

With the update, v8.0e, DonorWorks will function correctly under Leopard. Older versions of DonorWorks will not, and will not be supported under Mac OS X 10.5.

DonorWorks Server

The version of the OpenBase server we ship with DonorWorks is now compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
