Why in the world do we have a recipe link on a software website?
Life isn't all about work! And I like to cook, so we will post a new recipe each month.
When I started including my favorite recipes in our quarterly newsletter we had such positive feedback that we thought wed expand that to our website also.
Do you have a favorite recipe?
Submit it to us and maybe next month your recipe will be featured on our website, along with a profile of your organization and a link to your website.

Angel Cookies (Scotte's Favorite!)
|
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
|
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
|
In a large bowl, cream sugars with shortening. Add egg and flavoring. Combine flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar in a separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture. Mix until combined.
Roll dough into a ball of large walnut size. Dip the ball of dough in water, then roll in granulated white sugar. Place on parchment or Silpat covered baking sheets. (If no parchment or Silpat use non-stick baking sheets that are well greased. These cookies stick badly because of the sugar coating.)
Bake at 350º-375º for 12-15 minutes.
We usually double or even triple the recipe. You can use colored sugar for rolling for an interesting effect.
