Cream Cheese Pound Cake
3 sticks of butter
8 oz cream cheese
6 large eggs
3 cups sugar
3 cups flour
a dash of salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour a tube pan.

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add salt and vanilla. (I sample the batter at this point and usually have to cut back on my flour).

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one is added. Add flour and beat well. (Have a sample at this point also.)

Spoon mixture into the prepared tube pan, it will be verrry thick.

Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours

I like to serve it with fresh fruit and whipped cream. This cake is always a hit and always turns out well.
